Thy Kingdom Come ignites an annual global wave of prayer from the Ascension to Pentecost (May 9 through May 19). As we have been called by Christ to prayer, we have also been called by the needs of the world. Inspired by the early Christians in the Acts of the Apostles 1:14, "All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers", this wave of prayer is supported by Christian leaders from many denominations.
The author of the Novena this year is Bishop Anthony Poggo, the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion. The daily studies he has prepared are based on verses from Revelation and the photos are from different parts of the world, from Ghana to Fiji emphasizing the Church as God's worldwide family.
