Frequently Asked Questions

The community at St John's worships in many ways and hosts a wide variety of activities throughout the week and over the year. There are lots of details available over in the What We Do page on this site.

Absolutely! Children are welcome to be children and can talk, sing, dance, and play during worship and at other times.

Most Sundays, at 9:30 and 11:00, Children's Church is offered for all children who want to participte. Children are also welcome to stay in the church if they prefer. There is a play and engagement area set up for children and familes right inside the doors of the church.

On the Second Sunday of the month, we have a service at 10:00 am where children and families are encouraged to take on leadership roles, lead music, and share their gifts for worship with the whole community.

Please come as you are in clothing that makes you comfortable in worship. If it helps you to dress up, you'll find others who share that tradition. If it helps you to dress casually, you'll find others who share that tradition. You'll see shirts and ties, dress, sneakers, sweatpants, sports jerseys, and dress from around the world.

We'll supply everything you need to participate in the worship, but feel free to bring things you know will help you. Some folks bring bibles to follow or notebooks to write down their thoughts and reflections. 

Absolutely! Our worship traditions offer many ways to reflect and engage with those questions. St John's has bible studies, service groups, the Christian Cornerstones course, and, of course, our clergy and lots of social events where you can engage in conversation, questions, and explorations of the big questions in life.

All who have been baptized with water in the name of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are welcome to receive communion in the Anglican Church of Canada. Nobody will ask for proof of baptism during a celebration of Holy Eucharist at St John's.
