What do Anglicans Believe?

We are a parish of the Diocese of Niagara in the Anglican Church of Canada. As a partner in the worldwide Anglican Communion and in the universal Church, we proclaim and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ in worship and action.

We value our ancient heritage of biblical faith, reason, liturgy, tradition, bishops and synods, and the rich variety of our life in community.

We recognize that God is calling us to ways of being followers of Jesus that we have not know before; to be better stewards of God’s creation; to greater resolve to challenge systems that perpetrate injustice and deny the dignity of every human being.

Guided by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to respond to this call in love and service and to more fully live the life of Christ.

Statements of Belief

The Anglican Church of Canada affirms the ancient creeds of the Church: the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed are both used regularly in its worship.  We also affirm the Athanasian Creed, though you are unlikely to hear this one in our worship except, perhaps, on Trinity Sunday.
