Emma Cubitt posted on her Facebook page about this.
So happy with how this rain garden at my church turned out!
Step into part of our 2022 journey on Locke Street, Hamilton where we partnered with Green Venture and St. John the Evangelist to transform a simple grassy area into a vibrant pollinator garden.
Swipe through to see how we removed old yews, installed our "RainWaterOne" system, and created a rock swale for surplus rainwater. Among the myriad of plants are wild strawberry groundcover, echinacea, prairie smoke, #penstemon , coreopsis, #blueindigo , junipers, and native grasses, making the garden a haven for pollinators. Daily watering to the plants is facilitated by a small pump.
Special shoutout to our local fuel station, Donut Monster, for keeping our energy levels up throughout the project!
