Scarlett's Spectacles: A Cheerful Choice for a Happy Heart, by Janet Surette
 
Scarlett’s Spectacles is a great kids' book about joy and gratitude. It’s age appropriate, but not dumbed-down. My one-year-old and I discovered it one night in the Crypt cafe and after reading it, I decided we needed a copy for home. It’s become a regular part of our reading rotation, and one of my favourites.
