For early Christians, Easter was both the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus and the day most closely associated with baptism. The Easter celebrations were the first full services and first communion of new Christians. Today, we Anglicans baptize throughout the year. Any day is a good day to become a Christian! Our church highlights four days as especially appropriate to baptism: The Baptism of Our Lord, Pentecost, All Saints, and, following the ancient tradition, Easter.

If you have been considering baptism and would like to plan to be baptized at the Easter celebrations this year, please speak to Andrew as soon as possible to make arrangements and begin preparing for this wonderful sacrament.
