Help open doors with Indwell

King William Flats, at 257 King William St in Hamilton, is almost ready to welcome tenants. Built by CityHousing Hamilton, Indwell will operate this 24-unit building, offering a high level of supports to people coming from chronic homelessness.  As such, we’re furnishing each apartment with bed, small table and chairs, comfy chair and kitchen kit. 

We anticipate people may already begin moving in by the end of the month. We are so thankful that each of these 24 people will be in stable permanent homes before winter!

You’ll be able to help by:

·       Assembling and setting up furniture, along with the related trash/recycling clean-up

·       Setting up kitchen and appliances, and light cleaning

We welcome volunteers of all experience and skills. This is a great volunteer opportunity for groups of friends, work colleagues, faith groups and families to practically help people in our community.

We have two volunteer sessions:  

·       Wednesday, October 23, 6:30 – 9 pm – register here

·       Thursday, October 24, 1-4 pm – register here

Note:  we have capped this opportunity to 25 people, and the registration will close when we receive that number of people.  
 Please print and sign and bring along this one-time waiver.
