Two important facets of our lives depend on migrant farm workers here in the Niagara Region and southwestern Ontario. Our economy depends on farms for our food supply; more particularly, our food and best wines come from the Niagara where the farm supply industry and farm equipment manufacturing thrive. Secondly and most importantly, many farms in Southern Ontario rely solely on migrant farm workers.

Migrant Farm Workers Face Many Challenges:

  • Isolation and lack of education
  • Isolation by distance and lack of transportation
  • Poverty
  • Health Problems and poor access to medical care
  • Social Exclusion and Loneliness

the Migrant Farm Workers Project offers:

  • Personal items & clothing
  • Winter Clothing
  • Workplace Safety Training and Education workshops
  • Bicycles
  • ESL classes
  • Worship and Faith

Please open the attached pdf files to learn more details about the workers and the project and how you may be able to help. https://migrantfarmworkers.ca
