Alongside Hope has launched a Resilience Fund in response to the devastating cuts to international aid by the U.S. and other governments. The Fund will support many of our partners whose programs are now in jeopardy.

Touched by the terrible human impact of these funding cuts, a generous donor has offered to match all donations made to the Resilience Fund by June 30, 2025, up to $250,000.

One of our partners, Village Health Works in Burundi, provides life-saving Ready to Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) to malnourished children. “On the orders of the world’s richest man, USAID halted its operations seemingly overnight,” writes Dr. Jennifer Furin in Time magazine. “In the wake of this startling termination, those of us working on the front lines are left with only what was already in our stores.” With the supply of the peanut butter-like packets almost completely cut off, health care workers like Dr. Furin are faced with the challenge of rationing the supplements. The Resilience Fund will allow Alongside Hope to support VHW in bringing production of RUTF to Burund
